Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park

Australia’s most iconic wildlife attractions

Established in 1972 on a former poultry farm in Doonside, Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park has become one of Australia’s most iconic wildlife attractions. Founded by Bruce Kubbere to celebrate and protect native wildlife, today the park is now home to over 2,000 animals across 260 species, including more than 50 listed as endangered or critically endangered. Just 40 km from Sydney’s CBD, Featherdale invites visitors to connect with nature through hands-on encounters like kangaroo feeding, koala experiences and engaging keeper talks. Featherdale also delivers curriculum-aligned education programs that engage thousands of students each year across Greater Sydney, inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards. Every visit supports expert animal care, immersive guest experiences and crucial conservation work to protect Australia’s most vulnerable species.
