Extraordinary places (Harbour Trust)

Get outdoors on Sydney Harbour

The Harbour Trust protects extraordinary places on Sydney Harbour and provides the public with access to precious bushland, parks and open spaces. Their destinations include Cockatoo Island / Wareamah, North Head Sanctuary in Manly, Sub Base Platypus in North Sydney and the precincts of Headland Park, Mosman – Chowder Bay / Gooree, Georges Heights and Middle Head / Gubbuh Gubbuh. The Harbour Trust also protects Woolwich Dock and Macquarie Lightstation, Vaucluse – the site of Australia’s first lighthouse. Located in First Nations countries, these places are known for their natural beauty. They also feature historic spaces and landmarks. As such, they’re rich sources of exploration and inspiration – both for Sydneysiders and those visiting the world’s best harbour. From scenic walks and guided tours through to live music, dining experiences and seasonal events – there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Best of all? Harbour Trust sites are FREE to visit!
